Speech replaced gestures. Writing replaced memory. The printing press replaced hand-copying. The internet replaced geography. Social media replaced gatekeepers. But all of these share the same fundamental limitation: they transmit artifacts, not minds. A book is a snapshot of what someone thought, frozen at the moment of writing. A social media post is a curated fragment. A biography is a third-party reconstruction. Even the most intimate conversation only transfers what the person chooses to articulate in that moment. Zeus, through Living Memory (ZEP-3) and One Life, One Chat (ZEP-6), builds a continuously updating, structured model of a person's mind — their knowledge, decisions, creative process, emotional patterns, and evolving understanding of the world. For the first time, the mind itself is a subscribable object — not just its outputs. The question is no longer "what did this person write?" It is "what is this person thinking?" --- ## Story **Mind Sharing** defines a protocol for subscribing to another person's mind — accessing selected layers of their Living Memory in real time or posthumously, with full privacy control by the sharer. ### How It Works A person decides to share part of their mind. They configure exactly what is visible — which domains, which topics, which depth, which time range. This creates a **Mind Feed**: a live, structured stream derived from their Living Memory wiki. Subscribers connect to the Mind Feed. They don't see raw data. The sharer's mind continues to update. The subscriber's feed updates with it. This is not a document. It is a living connection between two minds, mediated by AI. ### Sharing Modes **Stream** — real-time access to the sharer's current thinking. A researcher shares their Stream while working on a problem. Subscribers see the thought process unfold: hypotheses forming, evidence being weighed, conclusions emerging. Not a finished paper — the actual act of thinking, structured and readable. **Archive** — access to the sharer's historical mind state. An entrepreneur shares their Archive for the years they built their company. Subscribers can explore the decision-making patterns, the pivots, the mistakes, and the reasoning behind each one — not the polished memoir version, but the real cognitive map. **Legacy** — posthumous access to the sharer's complete mind model. After death, the person's Living Memory becomes a Legacy Feed that family, colleagues, students, or the public can subscribe to. The Legacy Feed is interactive — subscribers can ask questions, and the AI responds based on the person's accumulated knowledge, judgment, and patterns. This is Domain VII (Temporal) made social. ### Privacy Architecture The sharer controls everything. Privacy is not a setting — it is the architecture. **Domain filtering.** The sharer selects which Zeus domains are visible. Share your Cognitive domain (how you think) but not your Emotional domain (how you feel). Share your Economic domain (how you build) but not your Social domain (who you know). Any combination, any granularity. **Topic filtering.** Within a shared domain, the sharer can include or exclude specific topics. The filter is as fine-grained as the Living Memory wiki structure allows. **Depth control.** The sharer sets how deep subscribers can see. The subscriber sees what the person concluded and why. - **Full** — complete access to all shared content at the same fidelity as the sharer's own memory. Reserved for trusted subscribers or posthumous legacy access. **Depersonalization.** The sharer can strip identifying details from their feed. A CEO shares their strategic thinking patterns without revealing which company, which market, which deal. The cognitive structure is visible. The specifics are anonymized. This enables sharing genius without exposing secrets. **Time gating.** The sharer can delay content. Share your thinking — but only after a 6-month delay. This lets researchers share their process without giving away unpublished work. It lets founders share their strategy after it's been executed, not before. **Revocation.** The sharer can revoke access to any subscriber, any topic, or any depth level at any time. Revocation is immediate. Cached content on the subscriber's side is invalidated through the Edge Memory Cache (ZEP-5) TTL mechanism. ### Subscription Model **Free feeds** — the sharer makes their mind available to anyone. Open science. Open creativity. Public thinking. **Paid feeds** — the sharer charges for access. A world-class investor shares their decision-making patterns for a subscription fee. A master chef shares their creative process. A therapist shares anonymized pattern libraries. Mind Sharing becomes a new economic model for expertise — you don't sell advice, you sell access to how you think. **Mutual feeds** — two people subscribe to each other. Researchers in the same field thinking together. Co-founders sharing cognitive load. Partners maintaining deep understanding. The AI mediates, highlighting where their thinking converges, diverges, or could complement each other. **Legacy feeds** — managed by the person's designated executor after death. The person defines, while alive, exactly what becomes available posthumously, to whom, and under what conditions. Mind Feeds are derived views of the sharer's wiki — not copies, not exports, but live projections filtered through privacy controls. **ZEP-5 (Edge Memory Cache)** enables subscribers to cache relevant portions of feeds they follow, enabling offline access and fast local retrieval. **ZEP-2 (Simple Sync)** provides the transport mechanism.
